Work in progress steps: today - rocks.
It's hard for me to stay rough while painting, I always tend to add details and softer strockes. The upper image is full resolution, painted with three different custom brushes, no textures.

I just listend to this episode of Chris Oatley's ArtCast (which I follow for some time now) and had a great time, it's funny and also cover some interesting topics about fear and personal goals within the art industry.
